Songs in English

About the things that I use for learn english:

 I had an english teacher that  used things like materials, movies, videos,  among others, for teach us english. One day I remember that he used a song in english , he explains that the song have many verbs and verbs in past for help us in a sentence.  This video bring the letter of a romantic song by Celin Deon. I had never heard the song, and since that time, began to like me the song.

                                     

One of my favorites songs it is¨Thinking oud loud¨ by Ed Sheren.

This also is a romantic song that  earlier this year everybady heard. I really like because bring words in english that I didn´t know.

Food waste

American waste 40% of their food. 

According to the class and the video the american tend to waste the food. This video it is about an experiment make it for know the quantity of food waste the people in United States. 

They reviewed the garbage in a restaurant and they found a lot food like potates, hamburguers, soda, chicken wasted. This waste it was only in one restaurant, I can´t imagine the waste in all restaurants in the country. 

This is alarming but not surprising because the american tend to waste and not only with food.

Teenage

It is a period of life, where everyone have passed through. We can define teenage as a period after the childhood, It goes from puberty to the full development of the organism. The adolescence begins between 12 and 13, and ends at 18 and 21 years old.

This part of life brings psychological, physical and socials changes. For example, in the psychological changes. Teens tend to change constantly mood like feeling happy and sad. They also act like children, but also tend to have an attitude of maturity as adults, been able to make decisions for themselves.

In the social part, the teenage tend to choose their friends, spend more time with them than with their family; therefore, outsiders tend to have much influence on their lives. Social groups starts to be one of most important part because they try to search their personality. 

In the phsycal changes, it is different for women and men. In this part the body start to change they do not look like children. So, they begin to see themselves as adults.

Another characteristic is that they change them likes for example: in the clothes, in their hair, room decorations, music, movies and activities. They have more interest in dance or out to parties with their friends. Also, they  opt for a crazy life and do what they want. So often, they tend to make many mistakes in the life. In, nowadays we can see this, drinking alcohol or ingest drugs that generated addiction, have children or choose wrongly in love.

Therefore in this period, parents should have more authority over them

Typical areas of conflict between parents and teenagers can be:

·         Discussions due to the time restrictions teenager.

·         The friends.

·         The time shared with family versus what time spend with people their age.

·         School and job.

·         Cars and driving privileges.

·         Quotes and sexuality.

·         Clothing, hair and makeup.

·         Self-destructive behaviors such as smoking, alcohol and drugs(American pshycological association,2015)

This is one of the most important period of the life, but, it is also the most difficult. Many people can say that it was not easy, where there were mistakes, teachings, new sensations and unknown things appear. In another hand, take decisions about what is right or wrong.

Also, the inability of young adolescents to consider the consequences of their actions that they will have in the long term.

Some mistakes of adolescents happen for the lack of information or because they do not have parents to tell them what is wrong, and often give them freedom to do whatever they want.

I think that the most difficult during adolescents is the love because is the first and they think that it is the unique love for all the life.

About my teenage I think that for my was difficult, but, also I spend a good time with my friends, I met new people, I made mistakes but learned from them. I changed my thinking, my hair, my clothes, among other things. I remember when I was in the high school that, many classmates were in problems of drugs, alcohol, in the house and many girls were pregnant. 

 I think the most important thing is what remains, as memories. The choices we make in the teenager will be reflected forever.

Second Individual presentation

A little bit about myself, I am the youngest of 3 brothers as shown in the pictures.

My sister, in that times, made me bullying because she always was higher than me. Actually I have 20 and she 24 and I am higher than her










I was  here with my teacher in kinder garden.I remember her  like a barbie because she had a nice long hair and always wore pink boots 

I remember that I was in a dancing presentation

When I had 16 years old I used to practiced footbaal (indor soccer) with my friends. In this photo we were playing an important game against a team of United States.

Here I had 17 years old. I was with my high school friends I remember that I spend good time with them. Now I can't see them because we take differents ways..

Living in another country

I think that it is not easy live in another country beacause all the countries have differents costums, cultures or traditions and that is the most difficult for foreigners, learn about how is the people , how they eat or if they dont like to say some words because could be disrespecful. Many people tend to make mistakes in other country, for that is is important to know how its the country.I have many friends from others countries, for example I have a cuban friend, though we speak Spanish  she does not understand some words ticas.

I remember that I had a good friend, He was from Germany and spoke two languages: german and english. About his appearance he had blond hair, blue eyes,  he was very tall and so handsome.

 He was here in CR for learn spanish and for work like a volunteer in a hight school. The first time when I met him, he had a month here and does not understand some words like: cafecito (ito). It was funny beacause it was ticas words; I had to explain him what mean this. Now he understands Spanish and even speaks ticas words 

 For my was a good experience met him because I learn many things about english, he and him country.










Some strange laws and costums. Interesting for me are:

In thailand , you should not touch a person´s head (even of a child) because the head is sacred.  This part of the body is considered the most sacred of human beings, because according to religious tradition is where the soul of the person staying.

In china when you use chopsticks you should not leave them upright in the bowl. It brings bad luck






In russia, men should take off their gloves to shake somebody´s hand.

Goals for the Future

First individual presentation

I have many goals and dreams in my life. but, among my closest goals: the first I think is in my major, I want to graduate after study for a specialty and have my own dental clinic. I think also in something different like work with a dental movil for travel in differents places in the country.

I want to travel, to meet  some countries in europe, especially france among others spain, germany, england and italy. for me its so interesting speak with people from other countries, would be nice speak with a specific language with them.

 About the languages first I want to learn english, french and portuguese.

Among others dreams: I want to have a big house in the beach or a house with large space and have animal.
 I think also in married and have childrens

Geniuses

When we say genius, we think in an intelligent person that have different qualities to another normal person. One specific definition can be: an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative. It’s as a natural ability or capacity. This ability is related with music, art, sport, mathematics, science, among others.

I think that everybody can have the same ability, but the difference of a genius is that they thinking outside the box. They have a passion and work hard for learn something new. Some characteristics of they are: constant, do not waste time, tend to be anxious and they are applied.

Some people say that the genius person born with the skill, other persons say that can be developed with over time. I think that could be both, for example, people with Asperger they born with the skill; also there are historical genius like Einstein or Isaac newton. But if a person want something and is constant and practice, can become in a genius. The genius is so intelligent, they have a high intellectual level that could change the world or create something new for the population.

There is a syndrome called Asperger, that the people who possess it are very smart. This persons have different skills, they can be expert in a specific topic, for example, they can memorize numbers, names, countries; they can add, subtract, divide, and multiply large numbers and it isn´t difficult for them. There are children that can read a book and remind whole about the book. Absolutely they are genius. 

Something characteristic of the the genius is difficult for they talk and interact with others. Because they have their own world.

There were around the world, great geniuses like Albert Einstein. I would had like  meet this genius. For the biggest contributions they made by science, physics, mathematic. I would had liked to meet Isaac newton, Pierre Fauchard (the father of dentistry) Leonardo da Vinci or Bethooven.

They were constant and also the most important is they change the world with their contributions.  All of them, created, invented or discovered something new that is so needed nowadays.

Some people say that, for the genius is difficult to communicate with others. I think that it is true because they give the heart in their work and do not mind the physical appearance or anyone else says. It's probably because they have another thought in mind.

Geniuses are all the time thinking about their work and this has many disadvantages. Expend all their time to work implies an immense sacrifice and a decline in social relations. According to Csikszentmihalyi, most geniuses are marginalized during adolescence, partly because "their intense curiosity and very focused interests are alien to their peers" (Ayuso, 2014) 

The genius are susceptible to suffer disorders like depression, anxiety or alcoholism. They probably may have food disorders or be bipolar because they spend more time and energy to his work.

Nowadays there are big geniuses around the world, including children where they develop their abilities very early age for example some children can play piano, battery, violin with ages 3 years. Others can read, memorize, tell among others. I think that with the over time they can become in genius when they will be adults.

I think that geniuses can be born and also become in genius according to the skills that have the person. For some people the skill is innate and developed over time and if they are persistent, they could become in geniuses. But a person who wants something and fight for it can also become a genius.
